Consequently, the way the library is styled can completely transform the look of the room.

Books turned backwards on the shelf
If you want a minimalist look for the room housing your bookcase, you can turn the books around so that their spines face inward. The room will appear brighter, especially if you have white, gray, or cream furniture. The only downside is that it will be difficult to pick out the book you want to read; consequently, this home library styling idea is better suited for a decorative mini-library—even an unconventional one.
Books arranged by color
Arranging books by color is an excellent idea, especially if you have book series in your collection. If you want to create a rainbow effect, you can arrange them starting with red, followed by orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet, and even include silver or gold covers. Books can be arranged either horizontally or vertically. Horizontal placement makes the titles visible and easy to read, while vertical placement creates a classic library look and makes it much easier to take the books off the shelf.
You can add plants and/or decorative objects to your library.
LED-illuminated bookcase
If you have a brown mini-bookshelf, you can add yellow LEDs and arrange the books both horizontally and vertically. You can also add CDs, vinyl records, posters, and plants.

You can have a wall-mounted shelf and books arranged by author, in alphabetical order.

If there is a hole in the wall (provided it is made of stone, clay, or a similar material), you can turn it into a mini bookshelf; you can even add warm-toned LEDs to create a modern, stylized look.
Lamp next to the bookcase
If you want to read next to the bookshelf, you need a large lamp and a stool or armchair. A lamp with warm lighting creates a pleasant atmosphere. The lamp can be of any style or color, but if you choose a light green or sage-green, you might also consider adding some plants to the decor. If you want the bookcase to feature a splash of green (even a dark shade), keep in mind that red makes for the perfect pairing.

If you prefer not to buy a wooden bookcase, you can improvise by mounting shelves directly onto the wall. For a modern yet elegant look, consider a room with an arched opening and use wall color to define the contemporary style—opting for a distinctive, unconventional shade like navy blue, violet, or burgundy. To complement this, you can install chandeliers, LED fixtures, or pendant lights on the ceiling.
Window-side bookcase
Although the design appears traditional—featuring brown furniture and French-style windows—you can introduce a touch of modernity by adding LED lighting to each bookshelf. If you are aiming for an enclosed space that evokes the image of an imposing, elite figure in a suit, this library décor is the perfect choice. P.S. This is one of my favorite designs.
What I really love is the combination of large French-style windows and the dark brown, antique-style furniture. The view of the trees and greenery outside provides one of the few splashes of color that bring harmony to the room.
